December 19, 2008 - Lene update
Hello Family,
Another note on how Lene is doing. I visited her yesterday on Thursday (December 18) and she has improved a lot. The nurse told me that she is no longer on the medicine that acts as a paralyzing agent - meaning she is now breathing on her own without the use of the ventillator. This is very good news. She has some movement of her eyes even though she is still sedated and will probably remain this way until the end of the month. Her lungs are healing and she is still on the medicine to remove the fluid from throughout her body. I could see her eye movement when I was there and she seemed to try to respond when I was talking to her in her sleep. I hope to get by to see her more this weekend and next week. The best Christmas present are your continued prayers which is making all the difference in the world to her recovery.
